Acne and the Perricone Diet
Everybody, it seems, desires that he or she could be young forever. In pursuit of this, scientists and concerned individuals try to come up with formulas, products, and treatments that will help reverse the signs of aging, as if getting old is some kind of a disease that needs to be avoided at all cost.
Among the most popular and first approaches to undo the signs of aging are the surgical procedures. Because of cosmetic surgery, you can see pools of people with perfectly smooth skin, perfectly drawn noses, and bodies to die for. However, cosmetic surgery can be really expensive. Some people may even need to save money for years just to achieve the look that they desire.
This system does not involve abrasive measures to rid yourself of the manifestations of aging, like wrinkles, sagging skin and flabby body sections, and you do not have to subject yourself to expensive surgical procedures either.
The Perricone System is all about having the right diet, specifically a diet that is rich in protein. Accordingly, protein, being the source of the body’s cellular building blocks which aids in the regeneration of the damaged body tissues, is the essential and ultimate weapon in defeating the signs of aging.
After all, the signs of aging are often the result of something which Dr. Perricone refers to as inflammation brought about by poor diet, unhealthy lifestyle, stress, cosmetic treatments and the like. Thus, besides having a protein-rich diet, you must also keep yourself from unhealthy habits just like smoking, alcohol, and even coffee, despite all the hype about coffee being good and all that. You must also avoid getting stressed or lethargic.
If you are going to embark on the Perricone diet, you must eat a good amount of fish and eggs. Dr. Perricone recommends to begin the day with four eggs, but remove the yolks from the three. Then for the rest of the day, your meal should include a lot of fish, preferably salmon. Berries, cantaloupe, and macadamia nuts are also highly recommended, along with spring water. While you are on this diet, chocolates, potatoes, butter, pasta, and pizza should be completely avoided.
You will be able to see the effects of the Perricone diet within three days if you use it together exercise the appropriate skin maintenance programs.
There is, however, one drawback to the Perricone diet --- the food options besides being expensive are hard to obtain. Macadamia nuts, blueberries and cantaloupes, for instance, are not always available in grocery stores. That being the case, you can search for less expensive alternatives to the Perricone diet. The important thing is that you choose foods that are high in protein and that you should avoid anything that Dr. Perricone advises you to avoid.
Fortunately, there are now cheaper and more natural alternatives to cosmetic surgery, and one of these is the Perricone System.
This particular system was developed by Dr. Nicholas Perricone, and you can find out more about this system in his book The Perricone Prescription.
