No-Nos in Facial Washing
If you are among the unfortunate ones to suffer from acne breakouts, you are most likely trying to look for ways to get rid of them, or at least reduce the severity or prevent the breakout from worsening. A great way to get any of these done is by properly washing your face.
For one thing, hot water can burn the outer layers of your skin, which can lead to pores opening too much, providing a gateway for bacteria to enter. On the other hand, cold water may tend to close the pores, thus attempting to remove the dirt and bacteria off your skin is bound to fail. When washing your face, use only lukewarm water as this is gentle enough on your skin, and effective, too, in removing excess oils and dirt.

Another definite no-no when washing your face is to use soap or other cleansing chemicals. Soap usually contains harsh chemicals that tend to remove too much sebum, resulting to dry and unprotected skin. Washing with soap also leaves residue that can cause your pores to clog.

Cleansing chemicals in the form of creams and ointments can dry your skin, causing it to swell. Interestingly, water, lukewarm water that is, is the only safe substance that you can use to wash your skin.

After you have already washed your face, use a soft towel to gently pad your face with. It is important that you do it gently as too much rubbing on your face can create lesions and blemishes, which again can provide the entry point for the bacteria and germs.
Be kind to your skin. There is nothing more beautiful than skin that is properly cared for.
Simply washing your face, though, is not the solution to treating hormonal-induced acne.

Nonetheless,
by keeping your face clean, you can prevent dirt and bacteria to accumulate and clog your pores, which when they do can actually worsen acne flare-ups.

There is a proper way of washing, and this you must clearly understand.

A definite no-no is the use of either hot or cold water on your face.

The skin on your face is one of the most sensitive, and washing it with anything other than lukewarm water may only irritate it.
